Back into days our roasting facilities were situated in the cold water bay of an island in the Baltic sea in rooms of old surf shop. It was a little tranquil and peaceful spot with cold salty air in winter and a bustling cozy kite spot with a nordic style sunshine and tons of wind in summer. We finally started to roast our very own coffee for coffee subscriptions which went out under the name of SURF SHOP ROASTERY coffee. We worked with Probatino 5, arranged a small separated climate green room in the base and installled the Linea classic with EK43 just in front to test our roasts on the bar. We've been seeking for a simple life & we've been driven by aesthetics of seas & oceans.
In the late spring 2019, we moved to the another roasting space, staying most the time landlocked, Hamburg is where you can find us now. All the coffees from our range now are still roasted on Probat but 12kg capacity.
